Decanter Centrifuge
Decanter centrifuges have drum diameters ranging from 160mm to 1 000mm, separation factors ranging from 1 000 to 4 000, and L/D ratio ranging from 2 to 5. The decanter centrifuge has the following advantages: a wide range of applications, can meet the need for a variety of solid-liquid separation occasions, solid phase dehydration, liquid clarification, liquid solid, liquid solid solid separation and particle size classification separation process; The particle size of solid phase can be separated from 5 ~ 2 000μm and the concentration of solid phase is up to 40. 0% from the feed; Automatic and continuous operation, large installed production capacity, low cost of operation and maintenance.
Decanter centrifuge can be divided into two phase separation and three phase separation units.
Decanter centrifuge is mainly composed of drum, screw conveyor, differential and drive parts, when it comes to separation of suspension after entering the centrifuge drum, the solid particles larger than the liquid density will be forced to the inner wall of the drum due to the centrifugal force. Using this relative motion, the solid particles deposited on the inner wall of the drum are sent to the dry area at the small end of the drum for further dehydration, and then discharged through the slag outlet. The separated clear liquid flows out from the overflow outlet at the large end of the drum, so as to realize the continuous slag discharge and separation.
Disc Separator
Disc separator has the separation factor of 3 000-20000, it can be used to deal with to materials that is difficult to be separated in other types separation machines, such as highly dispersed liquid-liquid two-phase emulsion, fine solid particles & slow sedimentation of liquid-solid two-phase suspension, etc.
It can separate the suspension with a solid concentration of less than 2%. The range of technical parameters of the disc separator is large, and the diameter of the drum is generally 150 ~ 1 200mm.
The separation factor is 5 000 ~ 15 000; Therefore, it has good separation effect, wide application range and wide variation range of technical parameters. The disc separator can be divided into four types: manual slag discharge, piston slag discharge, nozzle slag discharge, piston and nozzle combined slag discharge.
Disc separator is a vertical centrifuge, the drum is installed on the upper end of the vertical shaft, through the transmission device driven by the motor and high-speed rotation.
Inside the drum is a set of disc-shaped parts, called discs, which are stacked on top of each other. There are small gaps between discs. Suspension (or emulsion) is added to the drum through a feed tube located in the center of the drum.
As the suspension (or emulsion) flows through the gaps between the discs, the solid particles (or droplets) sink under the action of the centrifuge and fall onto the discs to form a sediment (or liquid layer). The sediment slides off the disc surface and accumulates in the largest diameter part of the drum.
The separated liquid is discharged from the drum through the outlet. The function of the disc is to shorten the settling distance of solid particles (or liquid drops) and expand the settling area of the drum. The production capacity of the separator is greatly improved due to the installation of the disc in the drum.
The solids that have accumulated in the drum are removed manually or discharged from the drum without stopping the machine by means of a slag discharge mechanism.
