Decanter Centrifuges in Paint Sludge Dewatering
Decanter centrifuges play a key role in paint sludge treatment. The paint sludge mixture is first introduced and then the decanter centrifuge utilizes centrifugal force to separate the solid particles from the liquid. During the separation process, solid particles (cake) accumulate on the inner wall of the drum and are pushed to the end of the drum by a screw conveyor. At the same time, the movement of the screw conveyor helps to further remove the residual liquid from the cake and achieve the dewatering effect. Eventually, the dewatered solids and separated liquids are discharged from each end of the centrifugal dewaterer. With the advantages of continuous operation, high separation efficiency, adjustable parameters and automated control, decanter centrifuges are suitable for large-scale and continuous paint sludge treatment processes.
