IMARC, the International Mining and Resources Conference, brings together mining companies, plant operators, engineering contractors and equipment suppliers. On abrasive slurry duties, the useful conversation is a practical one: whether the separator can run continuously, how dry the discharged solids need to be, and whether the machine will fit a tight plant layout or an underground installation.
At booth E01-D, the ZK SEPARATION team will focus on decanter centrifuges for mine water, coal slime, tailings dewatering and mineral slurry. These duties need continuous separation, wear protection on the parts that see the solids, and a compact arrangement where floor space and headroom are limited. Visitors are welcome to bring a real process challenge — feed solids, particle size, abrasiveness and the result required — and talk through equipment selection and an engineered flowsheet.
The same class of machine is already at work on coal slurry. An LW450×1670B explosion-proof decanter centrifuge was supplied for coal-washing wastewater, with the configuration set around the site’s explosion-proof requirements. The project background is on the coal slurry case study. The photograph above shows a separate ZK installation in an underground coal mine, where the decanter sits on a raised frame in a low heading.

What We Can Discuss at the Booth
- Decanter centrifuge selection for mine water, coal slime and mineral slurry.
- Tailings dewatering, cake handling and the water returned to the process.
- Wear protection, continuous operation and compact installation for abrasive duties.
- Solids capture, centrate clarity and stable running when the feed solids change.
- How fine screening and centrifuge dewatering can sit together in a mining flowsheet.
- Support from equipment selection and site layout through commissioning.
ZK SEPARATION builds decanter centrifuges for mining slurry, wastewater sludge and resource recovery. With more than 20 years in separation equipment, 400+ machines a year, 60+ patents and 150+ partners, the Sydney meetings will be used to match bowl size, materials and drive configuration to the duty.
Reserve a Time at Booth E01-D
If you are reviewing a mine-water plant, a coal-slime circuit or a tailings line, contact us before the exhibition. The team will prepare the relevant application notes and hold a discussion time at booth E01-D.
